What are we, as a charity foundation empowering women in developing countries?

We are a platform that helps women in developing countries to have an equal voice and to be heard. We help them access the global economy, by providing them with capital and training. We provide them with skills and knowledge so they can start their own businesses, which is very important for economic development. And we assist them in accessing finance so they can create jobs for themselves and their families. And what do we mean by empowering women? Well, empowerment means giving people choices; it means being able to make decisions about your life without having someone else making those decisions for you. We want to help them build their own businesses, so that they can be self-sustaining. What is the difference between empowerment and development? Empowerment means giving people the tools to enable them to make decisions for themselves, while development means helping people grow their economies. Empowerment is about empowering individuals; it's not about governments or institutions.
