Our team's experience

I work with women who are victims of violence and discrimination, so this is something that is very close to my heart. When you see people being abused or mistreated, it makes you want to help them. It gives me an opportunity to make a difference in their lives by helping them get back on their feet again.

What are we, as a charity foundation empowering women in developing countries?

We are a platform that helps women in developing countries to have an equal voice and to be heard. We help them access the global economy, by providing them with capital and training. We provide them with skills and knowledge so they can start their own businesses, which is very important for economic development. And we assist them in accessing finance so they can create jobs for themselves and their families. And what do we mean by empowering women? Well, empowerment means giving people choices; it means being able to make decisions about your life without having someone else making those decisions for you. It’s about choice – not only financial but also independency. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We are a social enterprise and we work with women in developing countries to empower them. We want to help them build their own businesses, so that they can be self-sustaining. What is the difference between empowerment and development? Empowerment means giving people the tools to enable them to make decisions for themselves, while development means helping people grow their economies. Empowerment is about empowering individuals; it's not about governments or institutions. It's about making sure that individuals have control over their lives, so they can take responsibility for themselves and their families' well-being. Development is all about economic growth

What's the idea behind empower Bangladeshi women ?

The idea is to empower Bangladeshi women. There are many things which can be done by them, but they don't know how to do it. We want to give them the knowledge and skills so that they can work on their own without any help from others. How did you come up with this idea? What was your inspiration? I have been working with women in various capacities for a long time now, and I found out that most of the problems faced by Bangladeshi women were related to education and employment. So I started thinking about these two issues as one single issue - empowerment of Bangladeshi women. I think empowering women is the only solution to make Bangladesh a fast developed country. If we empower them, they will be able to take care of their families and children. They will also have more time for themselves, so they can do something good for their country.

Why empower Bangladeshi women ?

I think empowerment is the key. You empower women to take charge of their lives and give them tools to realise their potential. I am a feminist, but not in the sense that I want to put down men or tell them they are inferior. It means empowering women so that they can make decisions for themselves and have control over their own lives. This is what we are trying to do through this project – empower Bangladeshi women by giving them access to education, health care, employment opportunities and financial independence so that they can live better lives for themselves and their families. The empowerment of women is a fundamental right of every human being. It is the only way to ensure gender equality and social justice for all. Women are the most vulnerable group in society, as they are often denied their basic rights such as education, employment and health care. In Bangladesh, women have faced discrimination from birth to death.

How to empower Bangladeshi women ?

It is the time to empower Bangladeshi women. It is very important for us to make them self-reliant, independent and capable of taking decisions. We should give them all the rights they deserve in our society as well as in other countries
